Pictures below are of "fresh green bananas", an $8 bouquet of dead and broken flowers and bleach stains on my carpet. New Peapod user and had the same complaint as most; always a missing item or two in every order.

During extremely cold weather our groceries arrived frozen which meant black bananas and bad produce. But the worst incident was a bottle of bleach that the driver sat down on my carpet in a plastic bag. Smelled bleach immediately and went searching. Bleach made two crescent moon marks on carpet and drips where he carried it in.

Went through ahold. The level of rudeness was unbelievable. I'm a tenant. Ahold accused ME of trying to "get some money and profit" from the incident.

My landlord was aware and I NEVER was keeping the money. When I leave here I am responsible. Ahold denied the claim, passed it onto the bleach bottle manufacturer. They were nice UNTIL it came down to $$$.

Andrea from Kik Corp told me, "as a good will offer only" they would give me $200 or a kit that I could use to dye the carpet myself???? When I told her it was up to my landlord she actually said to me, " just because we are a big corporation doesn't mean you're going to profit from us." Their attitude is disgusting.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $1500.

Preferred solution: Replace the damn carpet and apologize for being unprofessional .

Location: Warrington, Pennsylvania

Used to work for Peapod. Disgusting!!!

Food sits in the trucks for upwards of eight hours. If you get a morning delivery, food has been sitting in the truck since 1:00 AM this morning. If you get an afternoon or evening delivery, food was prepacked and has been sitting on the docks for over twelve hours (including produce and dairy). Would never advise using this lousy service.

As a side note, also recognize that some customers are just flat out lazy. I delivered to some customers where in order to get to their house, you had to drive passed a Giant to get in the development. Come on people, plan your day correctly and budget a half hour to stop and get your own stuff. It saves on the delivery fee and you can see the deals in your own darn store.

The excuses I used to get were flat our embarrassing ("I didn't want to have to take my kids'...'I don't have time (really 15 minutes?)'...'I just don't like grocery shopping (because I spend all day at the mall)'...'I have a tight schedule (Good news, there are seven days in a week...If you can't shop Sunday, there's six more days left)" Customers often times expect too much as well. We are told NOT to go in the houses due to liability insurance. I am not there to put all of your groceries in the fridge for ya. I am there to drop the food at the door and move on.

If the drivers don't get all the groceries to the customers within their windows, there are discounts available.

Take advantage if you can but recognize that you are not the only customer. The more time the driver takes with you, the less time they have to get to the next window delivery.
