Peapod has abandoned its regular dedicated weekly customers. Any of us are infirm, have limited mobility, and grocery store shopping is not an option.
All delivery options are "sold out" 2 weeks in advance, and have been for a month.
Peapod should reserve time for these customers, letting them access a portal on a specified day of the week or two.
Additionally, when I did get a slot after 21 days, 50% of my order that was "in stock" at order cut off time was out of stock when delivered at 7:00 a.m.
the next day! This is profoundly unfair.

Preferred solution: Honor "in stock" status at order cut off time. Offer reserved time for regular VIP customers. Prioritize elderly or seriously disabled customers.

The huge bag left by driver that I did not need
I have been a Peapod customer for more than four or five years but since this virus situation I have only been able to get a delivery one time. I understand your volume at this time and have made other arrangements to get my groceries, however, The driver left a huge black bag with my groceries.
It wasnt being used for my groceries it was just a big black bag that is so big I have no place to put it, no storage space. I need some Peapod person to pick this bag up or Im going to have to throw it away and it is a beautiful nice bag and I hate to do that. I live in a very small apartment with no storage space. They are doing the best they can and likely maxing out orders every day. For you to assume only disabled individuals should access isn't right.
And furthermore you know nothing if the status of anyone else ordering.
The entire country is going through an ordeal right now. Be kind and try to plan the best you can.
My assumption is not that only disabled individuals should access. My suggestion is that time be set aside for LONGSTANDING REGULAR FAITHFUL CUSTOMERS -- some of whom are mobility-limited -- to have a chance for a once every two week time slot...if that.
And in view of the weeks between Peapod grocery delivery slots, honor "in stock" items at the time of order cut off. A friend only got 50% of a reasonable order - no eggs, no potatoes, no coffee, no bread. Is this also the case for Stop & Shop grocery stores? Are Stop & Shop grocery stores in New York State without potatoes, coffee, eggs or bread?
My neighbors who shop at the local Stop & Shop say that all these items are available. Peapod delivery drivers are SUPERB - they are beyond kind and thoughtful.
